Article Processing Charge (APC) Policy
The International Journal of Social Exploration (IJSoE) is committed to transparent and fair open-access publishing practices.
Current APC Status
At present, IJSoE does not charge any Article Processing Charge (APC) for manuscripts submitted to or published in the journal.
Authors are not required to pay an APC for editorial screening, peer review, acceptance, or publication.
Editorial Independence
Editorial and peer-review decisions are based solely on the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, methodological rigor, ethical integrity, and suitability of the manuscript for the journal.
The existence, absence, payment, waiver, or amount of any current or future APC will not influence editorial or peer-review decisions.
Future Introduction of APC
The journal may introduce a reasonable APC in the future to support sustainable open-access publishing, digital infrastructure, DOI registration, archiving, editorial management, production, website maintenance, and related publishing services.
If an APC is introduced, the journal will clearly state the applicable amount, currency, payment stage, and any waiver or discount provisions on the journal website before the charge becomes applicable to authors.
Authors will not be retrospectively charged an APC that was not disclosed as applicable to their submission at the relevant stage.
No Payment for Acceptance
Payment of any present or future APC will not guarantee acceptance, favourable peer review, expedited editorial decisions, indexing, citation, or publication.
All manuscripts must satisfy the journal's normal editorial, ethical, and peer-review requirements.
Waivers and Discounts
At present, no APC waiver or discount system is required because the journal does not charge an APC.
If an APC is introduced in the future, the journal may establish appropriate waiver or discount provisions. Any eligibility criteria and procedures will be stated transparently on the journal website.
Changes to the APC Policy
The journal may revise its APC policy as its publishing operations develop. Any change will be announced transparently and will normally apply prospectively to relevant submissions.
